J&K: Terrorists attack security forces in south Kashmir

SRINAGAR: Terrorists on Saturday opened fire on security forces at two places in Anantnag and Kulgam districts of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.

In the first attack, the terrorits fired upon the security forces at the Bamzoo area of Mattan in south Kashmir's Anantnag district, a police official said.

He said the attack was repulsed by the forces and there was no loss of life.

In the second incident, the militants attacked a patrolling party of the Army between Hawoorah and Redwani villages in Kulgam district, the official said.

He said the firing was retaliated by the forces.

There are no reports of any loss of life, the official said.
