Tight security arrangements have been made in Roza area of Shahjahanpur in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Kisan Kalyan Rally' here, where he is expected to make announcements for the welfare of farmers.
After reaching out to the voters in Azamgarh, Sant Kabir Nagar, Mirzapur and Varanasi, Prime Minister Modi's next destination is Shahjahanpur in central Uttar Pradesh.
The prime minister will arrive at the rally venue via Bareilly for the hour-long event.
He is likely to make some announcements for the welfare of farmers, district unit president of the BJP, Rakesh Kumar Anaba, said.
Meanwhile, the Shahjahanpur district administration is making all efforts to ensure the smooth conduct of the rally in view of the rainy season. Tight security arrangements have been made around the rally venue with deployment of security forces including Uttar Pradesh Police, CRPF, PAC, ITBP, BSF teams.
According to reports, officers of Nation Security Guard (NSG) and Special Protection Group (SPG) have also been deployed around the venue. Officials said that the traffic on NH-24, between Shahjahanpur and Bareilley, will be diverted till the prime minister leaves.
Waterproof tents have also been installed at the rally venue to avoid any disruption due to rain, officials said, adding elaborate security arrangements have been made.
The party workers and leaders of eight districts and farmers are likely to attend the rally.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had recently convened the meeting of officials of the eight districts while making preparation for the rally.
