PUNE: Organisers of the Pune International Literary Festival (PILF) announced that the 2018 edition of the festival will be held on September 28, 29, and 30, at its familiar venue, the YASHADA complex on Baner Road. Registrations will begin on its website (www.pilf.in) from August 1.

In this edition of the festival- in its sixth year- the organisers say that more than 120 authors, filmmakers, artists, personalities, and luminaries from various fields will be available to interact with attendees and discuss literature and issues. That will be discussed over 70 sessions, on subjects ranging from fiction and non-fiction writing, literature for young adults, the media, and a range of other topics, mainly in English, Marathi, and Hindi.

The festival theme for this is the concept of family itself, with numerous panel discussions being dedicated to the topic, featuring experts.

The festival will be inaugurated by Mathew Prichard, the grandson of the author Agatha Christie. The featured author exhibition, a regular fixture at the PILF, will be about Charles Dickens, where his life's story will be exhibited, along with the stories behind some of his work. Besides, the festival will also feature workshops on reading, storytelling, and poetry, in the course of the three days, including for children.
