Rajya Sabha chairman M Venkaiah Naidu on Friday ordered an inquiry into issuance of a Press communiqué from the Rajya Secretariat leading to protest by TDP members and Zero Hour getting adjourned on the matter.

The Rajya Sabha on Wednesday had issued a release titled “TDP isolated as all parties want Rajya Sabha to function.”  The release was later withdrawn.  Taking exception to it, TDP leader C M Ramesh insisted on raising the matter on Friday.  However, Naidu did not agree and adjourned the House till noon.  The chairman asked him to discuss the issue in his chamber.

When the House reassembled for Question Hour at 1200 hrs, Naidu said an inquiry has been ordered after the issue that was brought to his notice by Leader of Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad, Ramesh and others.  He assured members of suitable action.
