Rs 4.75 lakh recovered again in ICICI bank loot case

With second recovery of Rs 4.75 lakh the loot of Rs 54 lakh cash of ICICI bank here in Daltonganj on June 15 is now reduced to a petty Rs 1.75 lakh as Palamu police had in the first breakthrough of this loot case recovered Rs 47.50 lakh that takes the total recovery to 52.25 lakh said SP Indrajeet Mahatha.

Rs 47.50 lakh was recovered in two states Bihar and West Bengal the second recovery was made in Bihar only.

There is the recovery of cash but no arrest admitted SP saying warrants of arrest have been executed against three criminals Banjara, Beeran and Bijender. Banjara is of Bihar’s Katihar district while Beeran and Bijender are of West Bengal’s Jalpaiguri place.

The SP said that police got information from its informers that it had set up in Korha under Katihar district in Bihar for Banjara. The moles did not play double cross. The team got Rs 4.75 lakh but not Banjara as he had fled from the scene.

This time the police team spent 4 days while in the first attempt of recovery the team of police had a 5,000 Kilometer detour.

Premnath stunned media persons when said that the place where Banjara lives is of stark poverty but here the police team found a nice table for billiard which the youngsters were seen playing. Billiard game amidst poverty was a big contrast that this police team noticed.

Another feature noted by Palamu police was that Banjaras remain update on Palamu through various news channels and YouTubes reporting.

DGP D K Pandey has promised the team members cash and letter of appreciation said the SP.

If the loot of Rs 54 lakh in daylight on June 15 was stunning the two recoveries made on June 30 and July 20 are equally outstanding. Wads of notes were recovered in the same denomination that the ICICI bank had furnished in its detail of looted cash.
