Vadodara: Two boys drowned in a pond at Phulpara village of Devgadh Baria taluka in Dahod district on Saturday evening. They had entered the pond to bathe when the incident took place.
The boys – Mahendra Ninama (10) and Govind Koli (11) – are both residents of Phulpara. They went to the pond at around 4.30pm. While bathing in the pond, the duo is believed to have stepped into a deep pit dug inside the pond.

The boys started shouting for help and a man grazing goats near the pond heard them. The man called others to help them, but by the time the boys were reached they had drowned. Their bodies were fished out by locals. Police were informed about the incident who registered a case of accidental deaths.
