NEW DELHI. Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi could not hold back his laughter after Congress President Rahul Gandhi accused him of being unable to look into his eyes because of nervousness.
Leading the grand old party's charge against the Modi government during the no-confidence debate in Lok Sabha, Gandhi said, “Pradhanmantri apni aankh meri aankh mein nahi daal sakte”.

Elaborating his accusation further, Gandhi said, “I can see him smiling. But there's a touch of nervousness in the gentleman & he is looking away from me. I can understand that. He cannot look into my eyes, I can see that because the Prime Minister has not been truthful”.

Gandhi’s words left Modi amused as other BJP leaders protested against the allegation.

Following this, speaker Sumitra Mahajan adjourned the house for a duration of 5 minutes.
