35.56 lakh homeless get land under Land Rights Campaign

Land has been given to 35.56 lakh landless people till July 17 under the Land Rights Campaign launched to provide land for houses to homeless people by the state government.

The state government has also decided that if a person has constructed a building for residence and its related purpose before December 31, 2014, then the land will be allotted to him. In this regard, necessary amendments have been made in the Acts.

This residential land area has been given in the declared area, in the declared population, in the non-interference land, administration of the Habitat Interference Act and in the urban areas under Pattadhriti rights.

Revenue Minister Umashankar Gupta has informed that after January 1, 2018, 1510 residential pattas have been distributed in Sheopur district, 301 in Morena, 49,850 in Bhind, 46,372 in Shivpuri, 6284 in Guna, 13,191 in Ashoknagar, 2200 in Datia, 34,083 in Dewas, 12,718 in Ratlam, 38,637 in Shajapur, 12,668 in Aagar, 23,417 in Mandsaur, 39,875 in Neemuch, 24,992 in Ujjain, 1065 in Indore, 5566 in Dhar, 2290 in Jhabua, 84,293 in Khargone, 12,427 in Badwani, 6805 in Burhanpur and 1247 in Alirajpur district.

Similarly, residential pattas have been distributed to 8,441 landless persons in Bhopal district, 9,329 in Sehore, 5, 956 in Raisen, 60,352 in Rajgarh, 50,730 in Vidisha, 5,137 in Betul, 446 in Hoshangabad, 21,964 in Harda, 8,230 in Sagar, 1.33 lakhin Damoh, 3029 in Chhatarpur, 609 in Tikamgarh, 1259 in Panna, 6,620 in Jabalpur, 3,450 in Katni, 49,972 in Narsinghpur, 4,818 in Chhindwada, 1,699 in Mandla, 14,531 in Dindori, 5,987 in Seoni, 2,820 in Balaghat, 9,452 in Rewa, 1,185 in Singrauli, 14,931 in Sidhi, 7,746 in Satna, 4,711 in Shahdol, 358 in Anuppur and to 16,298 landless persons in Umaria.

The process of distribution of pattas to the remaining 7.99 lakh landless persons is in progress.
