The board of governors of the Indian Institute of Plantation Management (IIPM), Bengaluru, at its 47th meeting has unanimously decided to extend the tenure of its incumbent director, Dr V G Dhanakumar, until superannuation.

Dhanakumar, an alumni of Cornell and University of Wisconsin, had joined IIPM in 1997 and became a director in 2006. He contributed to higher education in management and continued to mentor faculty and stakeholders.
