Governor Anandiben Patel on Thursday inspected Astha Gram Trust, Khargone awarded with the State-level Bio-diversity Award. She also enjoyed the jungle bullock cart safari created from dense plantation of trees by Astha Gram. Patel planted Trigundi (Neem, Pipal, Bargad) at the Astha gram gate.

Patel was overwhelmed with strong communication through sign language by the children studying in Astha Gram.

She tried to understand the depths of education being given to the hearing disabled, vision-impaired, deaf and dumb and mentally challenged patients. Several examples presented by the disabled children of the Sanstha made to say Governor, ‘wonderful. The Governor told one of the ordinary children the name of her mother. Another vision-impaired child understood the name of the Governor’s mother through sign language and wrote it correctly on a slate. The disabled children of the Sanstha presented a programme of Samekit ke Jadu, Tikdi ka kamal and Tum dal dal to hum paat paat. Thechildren gave a beautiful message of cleanliness through a play ‘Sabse Budhhu Kaun’. Patel said that I am very happy to meet the children. It is amazing to see how these children behave mutually and teach to each other to become self-dependent.
