Himachal Futuristic goes up 4% on BSNL job order

Shares of the company had hit 52-week high of Rs 36.65 on January 1, 2018, and 52-week low of Rs 14.45 on October 8 last year.
Himachal Futuristic Communications (HFCL) leaped nearly 4 per cent on Friday as it received purchase orders from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.

The company has received the purchase orders (POs) aggregating Rs 2,004 crore from BSNL for procurement, supply, installation, testing and maintenance of GIS-based Optical Fibre Cable Network Management Systems (GOFNMS) to be used by Defence forces.

The orders are part of a turnkey project and the balance PO for operation and maintenance services will be issued separately by BSNL.

The scrip advanced 3.84 per cent to Rs 25.70 at around 10.10 am. The BSE Sensex was up 186 points, or 0.51 per cent, at 36,537.

The company has a market capitalisation of around Rs 3,180 crore.
