Population awareness rally to be held in Chennai

CHENNAI: The Greater Chennai Corporation will hold a World Population Day awareness rally here at 3pm on Friday.
World Population Day is observed on July 11. On July 11, a rally was organsied in Chennai by health minister C Vijay Bhaskar. As a follow up to that event, the civic body and other departments under the public health are holding separate rallies and events.

School students, officials, nurses and doctors will participate in the rally being organised by the corporation. It will start at Nehru Indoor Stadium and end at Ripon Buildings.

This will be followed by events to be held at Amma Maligai Auditorium, behind the Ripon Buildings.

The rally and other events are being organised by the health department of the civic body and spearheaded by deputy commissioner, health, and city health officer.
