SP runs on dynasty and caste politics : BJP

Bharatiya Janata Party has ridiculed the claim of Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav that his party follows the ideology of socialist and freedom fighter Dr Ram Manohar Lohia saying the party only believes in `parivarvaad’.

“Everyone knows how the SP runs on two ideologies of dynasty and caste politics. Their claim that they follow Dr Lohia’s policy is just an insult to the great leader,” UP government spokesperson and state health minister Sidharthnath Singh said here on Thursday.

He was reacting to the statement of Akhilesh Yadav where he had alleged that BJP was doing caste politics.

Talking to media persons Singh said when ‘dynasty’ and ‘caste politics’ forms the basis of the party; how its leader can blame others about doing caste politics.

He also said that the abusive language used by SP leader Ram Gopal Yadav in New Delhi while speaking to an electronic new channel was condemnable .

On upcoming Madhya Pradesh assesmbly polls, the BJP leader made it clear that the SP party had walked on crutches in the 2017 assembly polls in UP with Congress and now searching the same in 2019.” It is my candid suggestion that SP should first find its ground in UP and then venture out,” he said.

Commenting on the claim of the SP president that Lucknow-Agra expressway was his credit, the state health minister said ,” it was one of the first expressways of india which did not have service lane but SP is claiming credit on it.”

He said that the present Yogi Adityanath government had improved the situation to some extent.

Talking about the UP government’s announcement of zero tolerance on corruption and law and order, he said that the recovery of huge cash and gold from a trader in Lucknow, proves that the government was working on its agenda.

When asked about the fatwa against the triple talaq crusader Nida Khan by the clerics in Bareilly, the UP minister said ,” it is unfortunate that SP, BSP and Congress are quite on the issue.”

“While Congress are demanding women reservation but are not ready for the Triple Talaq Bill. It shows biased attitude against the Muslim women. These opposition parties should speak out on Nida Khan, Triple Talaq and Halala,” he said while adding that UP government would give justice to all the Muslim women and action would be taken against the offenders.
