‘INTUC youths to get all support from PCC’

The Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC)’s State youth wing held an executive meeting here on Tuesday and discussed various issues regarding farmers and workers.

The meeting presided over by State president Satyabrata Nayak was participated by district presidents and district and block workers.

Nayak alleged that both the Union and State Governments have adopted anti-farmer and anti-worker policies and neglected farmers and workers a lot.

He said youths have not got jobs even as western Odisha houses many industries. He said workers are not getting wages fixed by the Government.

Nayak also urged the workers and leaders of different districts to organise Anganwadi, ASHA and agricultural workers and Kendu leave pluckers and strengthen the organisation at grass-roots level.

State Congress in-charge Jintendra Singh praised the struggle of the association for the upliftment of the construction and unorganised workers and farmers and urged the workers to intensify the struggle.

He also assured that the association would be supported by the Congress at the block and district levels.    

PCC president Niranjan Patnaik also attended the meeting and assured the association of all support.

Among others, INTUC Youth Wings members Nirmal Samal, Krushna Chandra Sahu, Ajay Kumar Paikray, Saroj Pradhan, Rashmi Ranjan Choudhury, Prakash Tripathy, Priyabrata Sahu, Bhawani Sankar Jena, Babita Badpanda, Dillip Swain and Biplab Choudhury were present.
