In a significant development in the no-confidence motion moved by opposition parties against the Narendra Modi-led NDA Government in the Parliament, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Thursday decided to announce its decision on the floor of the House on Friday.

The party also issued whip to all its Lok Sabha members to remain present during the debate on the no-confidence motion.

Decisions in this regard were taken at a BJD Parliamentary Party meeting in New Delhi on the day.

“The BJD will raise issues like Centre’s non-fulfilment of its promise on doubling farmers’ income, Special Category State status to Odisha, Mahanadi and Polavaram in the Lok Sabha during discussions,” said BJD MP Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo.
