Bhopal: The Samajwadi Party will not enter into an alliance with the Congress for the State assembly election, said the party chief Akhilesh Yadav here on Thursday. BSP and SP had formed an alliance in Uttar Pradesh during by-polls and they won the elections but things are still uncertain in Madhya Pradesh, said former chief minister of UP while talking to media persons.

“In Madhya Pradesh the situation is not certain, the talk with Congress party is underway but inconclusive and as of now we are going to contest polls independently in the state, said Yadav. However, he went on to add, “If an alliance is formed the equations will change.”

Yadav, who is on two-day tour to state capital, will meet the party workers, former governor Aziz Qureshi, IACC and Congress Working Committee member Arun Yadav and Congress state president Kamal Nath during his visit. Attacking the Union and state government, the SP chief alleged that that Modi and Shivraj Singh government at the centre and state betrayed farmers with “a false promise of farm loan waiver”.

“In their manifesto they had promised to waive off farmers’ loan, but after coming to power they failed to live up to their promise. A country cannot develop if the government fails to address farmers’ woes and take care of their interest, said Yadav.

Holding chief minister Chouhan responsible for the deaths of farmers, he said that because of bad polices of his government farmers were dying, youths not getting jobs and women feeling unsafe. State is leading in crime against women and if SP formed the government the problem will be sorted out.

Stating that demonetisation and GST have killed the Indian economy, the SP chief said, “Youth are unemployed in the nation because of irrelevant policies of the Modi government, the government has failed on every front including providing employments to youths”.

SP chief, Hardik visit ex-Guv

Akhilesh Yadav and Patidar leader of Gujrat Hardik Patel visited the residence of former governor Aziz Qureshi. Later talking to media, he discarded reports of party forming alliance with Hardik in the assembly elections. He stated that he along with Hardik came to seek blessings of Qurehsi and nothing else. “I congratulate Hardik for his work, I want that he should keep on working hard as he will provide a good option to nation,” said Yadav.
