GUWAHATI: The 20th edition of the annual techno-management fest of IIT Guwahati, Techniche will witness the presence of scientists from
NASA and ISRO who will chair a discussion on the latest developments in space sciences and technology during the event.
Organizers said the panel discussion at IIT Guwahati to be attended by the scientists will take place on September 1 during Techniche. The topic will be "Space Colonization - Does a future await us light years away?" with the discussion centred on mankind's attempts at setting up space colonies and the feasibility of such a venture.
"This is a proud moment and a huge step for us. With the recent attempts by SpaceX and numerous other private and public organizations, the prospect of space colonization requires a wider audience," said Purvish Shah, convener of Techniche 2018. TNN
