Samsung Galaxy J4 smartphone gets a price cut in India

NEW DELHI: It seems that Samsung is facing a hard time in getting any takers for its smartphones. Last month the company slashed the price of six of its smartphones and now again a Samsung Galaxy smartphone has got a price drop.

According to Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom, Samsung has slashed the price of its budget smartphone Galaxy J4 in India. Launched at Rs 9,990, the handset has got a price cut of Rs 500 and it is now available at Rs 9,490. The new price is now reflecting on both Amazon and the official e-store of the company.

To recall, the Samsung Galaxy J4 sports a 5.5-inch HD display with 720x1280 pixel resolution. The smartphone is powered by company’s own Exynos 7570 quad-core processor and runs Android 8.0 Oreo operating system out-of-the-box. The smartphone offers 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. Users can further expand the storage up to 256GB by adding a microSD card.

The Samsung Galaxy J4 flaunts a 13MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and a 5MP front shooter with f/2.2 aperture for selfies. Both cameras come with LED flash support to facilitate low light photography. The handset also comes with the company’s ‘ Advanced Memory Management’ feature. The feature enable users to save a lot of memory space by automatically storing all the videos and images on the external storage device. Along with this, the feature also automatically deletes duplicate images that are received via social media apps such as WhatsApp.

Apart from this, the smartphone also comes preloaded with the Samsung Mall that allows users to find the products using the photos they take on e-commerce websites. The Samsung Galaxy J4 is backed by a 3000 mAh battery and offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options.
