Bakery owner held for sexually assaulting 24-year-old girl

Bilkharia police have booked a bakery owner for sexually assaulting a 24-year-old girl at a farm house by sedating her around three years ago and sexually exploited her for the past three years using video of rape; two brothers of accused have also been booked for physically assaulting the victim.

According to the police, 24-year-old victim was sexually assaulted by the accused identified as Shariq Ali who runs a bakery.

The victim a resident of Aishbagh who had stated in her complaint that she was given drink laced with sedatives at a restaurant in Bilkharia and later accompanied to a farm house where she was raped by Shariq Ali and late he used to sexually exploit her using video of the rape.

Addl SP Zone 2 Dinesh Kaushal said that Shariq had relationship with the victim from the year 2014 and when she came to request for marriage and informed Shariq’s brother Tariq and Raja they had physically assaulted the victim due to which the two have been made co-accused in the case.

The brother of the main accused Tariq Ali is close to Congress leaders which was one of the reason of the delay in the action against him and later when the case was registered the accused went absconding. Police raided few places but failed to find the accused.

Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation, the police have registered a case under section 367(2) (N), 506 B, 294 and 342 of the IPC and have started further investigation. Police said that the search for the absconding accused has been intensified.
