LUDHIANA: A body of a teenager, Bhola Sahni, was found from a
drain near Noorpur Bet on Wednesday.
On July 16, Naresh Kumar (18), and Bhola Sahni, (15) of slum area near Haibowal Kalan slipped into the drain while attempting to collect rag. Around 9am, Naresh with his brother Sooraj (10), and Bhola with his brother Vijay Sahni, 1(5), had gone to the drain.
Vijay Kumar told police that it was raining when Naresh and Bhola slipped into the drainage. “We rushed home and informed our families. Two divers came but could not search Naresh and Bhola.”
After being informed on Wednesday about the body, the PAU police reached the spot and called three more divers. The body has been sent to civil hospital for post-mortem. The other body remains missing.
