Nokia 3.1 launched in India: Price, availability and offers

HMD Global, the company that holds the license to manufacture and sell Nokia smartphones, had launched Nokia 3 in 2017. Now, the firm has launched its 2018 variant, Nokia 3.1 in India. The smartphone is priced at Rs 10,499 and will be available both online -- on Paytm Mall and Nokia website as well as offline mobile retailers across the country from July 21.

Nokia is giving away several launch offers and cashbacks on the new smartphone. Customers buying the Nokia 3.1 by scanning the Paytm Mall QR code can avail 10% cashback on recharges and bill payments on Paytm. Additionally, the buyers will get two movie cashback vouchers worth Rs 250 that can be redeemed on ticket booking via Paytm.

Also, consumers using ICICI Bank credit or debit card will get 5% cashback. This is not all. The company is providing offers to Idea and Vodafone customers as well -- they will get 1GB data per day, unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day for 28 days on a recharge of Rs 149. On a recharge of Rs 595, customers will get unlimited calls, 100 SMS/day, 18GB data for 6 months. Additionally, customers upgrading from 2G or 3G phone to the new Nokia 3.1 will get 1GB data per day for 28 days.

Nokia 3.1: Key Specifications

Nokia 3.1 is a budget smartphone that comes with 5.2-inch HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone has a 2.5D curved display with Corning Gorilla glass.

The device is powered by 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek 6750 chipset. Nokia 3.1 features a 13MP primary camera having f/2 aperture with auto-focus and LED flash. On the front, the smartphone has an 8MP front camera with f/ 2 aperture and 84.6-degree field of view.

In India, the smartphone comes in only one storage variant -- 2GB RAM paired with 16GB internal storage. It may be further expanded through a microSD card. The new Nokia 3.1 comes in three colours options -- Blue, Black and White.

The smartphone runs Android One operating system joining the league of Nokia smartphones under Android One initiative that includes Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 6.1. In a statement, the company said that the Nokia 3.1 will receive three years of monthly security patches and two years of OS updates from launch, as guaranteed in the Android One programme.
