No public interest in law aspirants' plea for re-test of DU LLB entrance exam: HC

The High Court today said there was no public interest in a plea moved by 11 seeking that University's LLB entrance test be held again as widespread allegedly took place at some exam centres.

A bench of Acting and Justice C Hari Shankar, however, said there was only private interest in the matter as the candidates had taken the entrance exam.

The court directed that the petition be deregistered as a PIL and be listed before an appropriate bench on July 23.

The petition, filed through Abhishek Kumar Choudhary, sought cancellation of the result declared on July 11 and fresh conduct of the the exam, alleging improper management of the test leading to widespread at some centres.

If the entire exam cannot be held again, it said that a re-test be held at the centres where the alleged irregularities were reported from.
