Cape Town – Ed Sheeran is going to give fans an intimate look at just how he made his chart-topping latest album, Divide in a new music-centred film.
The Apple Music doccie is called Songwriter was filmed by Murray Cummings, who is Ed’s cousin.
Using never-before-seen home videos the film documents all the big moments in the creation of the collection of songs: from the very first chord to the finishing touch.
The trailer was released on Wednesday and the film can be streamed from 28 August, exclusively on Apple Music.

South African fans will be able to see Ed perform his songs during his sold-out series of three shows taking place from on Saturday, 23 and Sunday 14 March 2019 at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.
Ed's SA tour culminates at Cape Town Stadium on 27 March.
