NEW DELHI: OnePlus has got a lot of appreciation for its smartphones. The company tries to pack in high-end specifications in their smartphones and then price it aggressively for the Indian smartphone market. The company has always talked about the convenience of its users and till date it has not removed the 3.5mm audio jack from its devices. But still the company has to go a long way when we talk about introducing some new features in its devices such as in-display fingerprint sensor or wireless charging.

The company has now decided to come forward and talk about this in detail. The company CEO Pete Lau recently said in an interview that he would love to introduce wireless charging in their smartphones. However, they are not able to do so due to some design complications.

In an interview with a OnePlus employee, Lau revealed that the company still tests fast wireless charging technology but they will not be able to include it in the OnePlus products. Lau said, “Fast wireless charging. Without compromises. We have tested and will continue to test wireless charging technology going forward, but for now, we have not yet found a solution that meets our expectations for speed and convenience. This technology also still results in a thickening of the device and a heating of the device in the charging process.”

So, for the time being no OnePlus smartphone will support wireless charging.

In the interview the employee also asked Lau as to which is the most loved OnePlus product, to which he replied, “Our new Bullets Wireless earphones. This is the first Bluetooth earphones product we created, and the bullets have been overwhelmingly well received. We are very excited about this and appreciate all the feedback our community has contributed towards this new product! Due to such positive feedback, our production quantity fell short of expectations, but we are doing what we can to ensure adequate stock in the future.”
