
Vivo NEX launch price in India, features, specifications Live Update: Vivo Nex with bezel-less display and pop-up front camera has been launched in India. The launch event took place in New Delhi from 12:30 PM. Vivo Nex series, which includes Nex S and Nex A smartphones, was introduced in China in May. Vivo Nex S, which is a higher-end variant was unveiled in the country as Vivo Nex. Vivo also live streamed the event on its India website as well as its official Facebook page.
Vivo Nex price in India is Rs 44,990 and the phone will be available starting July 21. Vivo Nex can be bought on Amazon India, Vivo Store online as well as select retail stores. A host of pre-book offers from HDFC, Reliance Jio, etc are also listed on Amazon.
The highlight of Vivo Nex is its motorised pop-up selfie camera and the phone also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor. Vivo Nex will directly compete with Oppo Find X, which comes with similar specifications and made its official debut in India earlier this month. However, Nex comes with a much lower price tag of around Rs 44,990 as compared to Find X, which sells at Rs 59,990.
The Vivo Nex is not the only phone in India with a retractable camera module. Oppo's Find X also comes with a camera enhancement, that sports the phone's dual-rear configuration, as well as the selfie lens. Vivo Nex, on the other hand, comes with a pop-up selfie camera, while its dual-rear sensors are integrated into the phone's back. The dual-rear camera configuration of the Vivo Nex includes 12MP primary lens, and a 5MP secondary sensor with four-axis OIS. Also, it also features an 8MP selfie lens.

The phone has 1.7mm bezels on the side and 91.24 per cent screen-to-body ratio. Vivo has a screen casting technology on the display. The company removed the top bezel and got rid of the earpiece speaker. Vivo Nex is also being made in India, claims company. Vivo Nex also has hidden sensors. The ambient light sensor, proximity sensor are all under the display.
Vivo has a video on to show how strong that front selfie camera is. Remember the selfie camera is a motorised one. And yes it looks delicate. But Vivo is determined to show that the pop-up selfie camera is sturdy.
Vivo Nex is powered by the Snapdragon 845 processor, like most Android flagships these days. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo, which is based on FunTouch 4.0 OS. The phone comes with a 4000mAh battery. It is expected to ship in two storage configurations: 8GB RAM/128GB storage and 8GB RAM/256GB storage.
