It is to be noted that the dowry system refers to the durable goods, cash, and real or movable property that the bride's family gives to the bridegroom, his parents, or his relatives as a condition of the marriage.

The dowry system is thought to put great financial burden on the bride's family. In some cases, the dowry system leads to crime against women, ranging from emotional abuse and injury to even deaths.

To spread awareness and inform more about it, the performers told the audience about the laws made against dowry.

The payment of dowry has long been prohibited under specific Indian laws including the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 and subsequently by Sections 304B and 498A of the Indian Penal Code.

Conversing lyrically in various proverbs, the teachers raised questions about the facts. The characters were further supported by the chorus which with beautiful expressions asked the crowd about their stereotyped thinking.

Dressed alike and with perfect coordination the performers were able to impress the crowd.

Through live music and songs, the street play came to an end. The public gathered enjoyed every bit of the performance. Gathering of people highly appriciated the performances.
