Daughter battered to death by father over an affair

A 18-year-old girl was battered to death by her father for hving an affair against his wishes and engaging in long phone chats in Hamirpur on Tuesday night. After the gory truth sunk in, the assailant later absconded. The police registered a case and sent the body for autopsy and efforts were being made to arrest the accused.

As per reports, Priyanka of Bhugaicha hamlet of Biwar police station area was having an affair with a local youth which was opposed by her father. Unable to meet her beau due to dmestic restrictions, the girl used to chat with her boyfriend for hours. 

On Tuesday night, while Priyanka was busy chatting with her lover, her father came into the room and started abusing her. He snatched her phone and when she objected, her father took out a stick and battered her to death chargingher of bringing disrepute to the family. After the gory murder, the accused fled. 

After Priyanka's mother entered the room and found her dead, she called the police and narrated the trauma. 

Meanwhile in Muzaffarnagar, a woman and her paramour were booked for allegedly poisoning her husband to death. Before the police took cognizance, both managed to abscond. 

As per reports, Absar Ali(30) of Subash Nagar area was found dead in his home on the morning of July 9. His wife informed the police that her husband committed suicide by consuming poison. 

During investigation, Afsar Ali’s brother Nawab told the police that he suspected foul play and claimed that his brother was killed by his (Afsar) wife and her paramour. Nawab alleged that Afsar’s wife was having an affair and she was warned by her brother several times. He suspected that the woman and her paramour poisoned Ali to get rid of him. After verifying, the police found the charges to be true and hence registered a case of murder against the victim’s wife and her paramour. A hunt was launched for the duo three days after the incident, but by that time the duo had done the vanishing act.
