Awareness related to use of electronic goods can reduce the number of deaths that take place in due to electrocution and fire caused by electrical short circuits, a said today.

Citing a data, Goutam Roy, Chief Electrical Inspector, Central Authority (CEA) said that over 4,500 people died due to electrical accidents during 2016-17.

He said this during a campaign launched by here to raise awareness on need for to prevent mishaps at homes and workplaces.
