NMDC starts hiring process for Exces & Non-Exces for Nagarnar plant

NMDC Ltd has commenced the hiring process for both executives and non-executives for commissioning and subsequent operation and maintenance of the company's upcoming  MTPA Integrated Steel Plant (NISP) at Nagarnar near Jagdalpur in Bastar region of Chhattisgarh, officials informed.

The company will be engaging persons having experience in operation and maintenance of various areas of Steel plant such as Coke Oven, By Product Plant, Raw Material Handling System (RMHS), Sinter Plant, Blast Furnace, Steel Melting Shop (L.D. Process), Continuous Casting, Thin Slab Caster (TSC), Laboratory, Refractory, Production Planning Control (PPC), Water Supply, Turbo Blower Station, Energy Management, Safety including Gas Safety, etc and Personnel, Administration, Contracts, Materials, Finance and Legal .

The persons (both executives and non-Executives categories) who are having experience in Steel Plant operations will be engaged on contract basis at the Nagarnar Steel Plant initially for a term upto 3 years, which is renewable on mutual consent basis, officials informed.

Notably, NMDC Ltd recorded iron ore production of 4.78 million tonnes (MT) (provisional) from its mines in Chhattisgarh as on June 30, 2018.

The company recorded sales of 5.97 MT of iron ore during the aforesaid period, it informed in a regulatory filing.

The company is targetting to achieve 10 million tonnes of iron ore production per annum from each of its mines in Chhattisgarh by 2024-25, official sources informed.

It has also sought 7.116 hectares forest land diversion for its iron ore concentrate pipeline in Dantewada district of Bastar, they informed.

Notably, NMDC will also be seeking Right of Use (ROU) / Right of Way (ROW) permission for developing a land corridor for its Slurry Pipeline project from Bailadila to Nagarnar in Bastar region of Chhattisgarh, officials informed.

NMDC, which is in the process of laying a 15 Million Tonnes Per Annum (MTPA) slurry pipeline is executing the project in two phases.

The first phase is being executed from Bacheli to Nagarnar in Bastar.
