On this day, the finals of 2017 ICC champions Trophy way played between India vs Pakistan at the Oval in London, to determine the winner of the 8th ICC Champions Trophy. Both teams were impressive throughout the tournament.
Pakistan put up an outstanding performance in the finals against India by beating them by 180 runs, which was the largest margin of victory in the final of an ICC ODI tournament. Pakistan, who were underdogs, entering as the lowest ranking team starting the competition, became the seventh nation to win the ICC Champions Trophy. It was their first win since ICC ODI tournament title since 1992.
Hasan Ali of Pakistan received the Golden Ball award for taking 13 wickets. He was also given the Man of the Series award. Shikhar Dhawan of India received the Golden Bat award for scoring 338 runs in the tournament and Fakhar Zaman of Pakistan received the Man of the Match award for scoring 114 runs in the final.
