InterContinental Hotels Group is all set to open new hotel in Sri Lanka

To quote Sudeep Jain, IHG’s vice president of development for southwest Asia, “We are excited to introduce our global luxury brand InterContinental Hotels and Resorts to the beautiful island country, Sri Lanka, in collaboration with the esteemed Pearl Grand Tower Hotel Limited.”

 
He further said that the step was in tandem with the company’s policy to grow its footprint all over southwest Asia by adding the InterContinental brand in main cities and resort destinations in the region.

 
In 2019, the 42-storey with 307 rooms of InterContinental Colombo will be inaugurated which has 12,000 sq ft of meeting space along with 6 dining options, comes on the heels of opening of IHG’s 1000th hotel in the Europe, Middle East and Africa, the 459-room InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort in Vietnam.
