VARIOUS OF SIGN INSIDE WEMBLEY STADIUM READING (English): "JOSHUA POVETKIN" STORY: Britain's Anthony Joshua on Wednesday (July 18) told reporters he intends to cement his boxing legacy and hopes to compete in the heavyweight division until he's 40.

The 28-year-old will defend his WBA 'super', IBF, and WBO heavyweight titles against Russian Alexander Povetkin at Wembley on Sept. 22.

Joshua takes on his WBA mandatory challenger Povetkin as he returns to Wembley for the first time since his victory over Wladimir Klitschko in front of 90,000 fans in April 2017.

Waiting in the wings is a potential title unification bout against America's WBC world champion Deontay Wilder.

That could take place in April, after the 28-year-old announced a two-fight contract in Wembley while at the stadium via promotions company Matchroom Boxing on Monday (July 16).

American fighter Jarell Miller gatecrashed a promotional news conference for Joshua and Povetkin in New York, US on Tuesday (July 17), squaring up to the Briton on stage.

But before any other potential fights, Joshua must first defeat Povetkin.

The 38-year old Russian has an impressive record but has been a subject of controversy after failing two doping tests, testing positive for banned substance Meldonium in 2016 and Ostarine in 2017.

In November 2017 the WBC sanctioned his return from his boxing ban.

He told Reuters he denies using performance-enhancing substances.
