Performance by children at Kurash competition wins hearts

The children of Jawahar Bal Bhavan exhibiting a brilliant performance, emerged as the winners of School Level Kurash Competition.

The competition was organised by School Dictrict Officer DS Dhruve and Khelo India Khelo officer Ajit Gill. It is to be noted that for the preparation of district Kurash competition organized at Tatya Tope Stadium, continuous camp was being held in Jawahar Bal Bhavan, for the last 3 months. Various facilities were provided to players below poverty line and special assistance was received by District Sports Officer Janees Chaco.

Children of Jawahar Bal Bhavan have shown continuous progress in Para Olympic, Olympic Games, Judo and Kurash competition. Under the guidance of sports institution Bliss State School of Para Olympic and Olympics Lalghati, four players have selected for school state competition and two sportsperson have been selected for Asian Games 2018 held at Jakarta.

In the school kurash competition, selected players were invited by the Director of the Institute Umashankar Nagayach and Assistant Director Sajan Singh Kathayat congratulated the success of the players.

The players who participated in the Kurash Competition included under 17 Himanshu Rajak (45 kg), under 19 Paras Chicham 96 (kg) and Ayush Gohardia (65 kg).

In girls category under 17 players Ekta Sapkade (40 kg), Ishika (48 kg), Kajal Singh (52 kg), Khushi Vyas (63 kg) and Pavitra Bhatele (63 kg) participated. Girl under 19 Ragini Sahu (40 kg), Priyanka Chowk (44 kg) and Laveena Kaparia (57 kg) participated.

11 children of Jawahar Bal Bhavan have emerged as a major team and were selected in Bhopal District team. Divisional school Kurash Competition will be held at Tatya Tope Stadium from July 30and State School Kurash Competition will be held in Bhopal from August 6 to 10.
