The hospital submitted copies of the documents pertaining to the care provided to Jayalalithaa during her hospitalisation. Apollo Hospitals had submitted the original 30 volumes of documents in two suitcases to the commission on January 12. 

The documents contained the complete history of the treatment provided to Jayalalithaa during her 75-day hospitalisation. It has come to light that the Commission is of the view that the records have been prepared hastily and does not provide the complete information. It is said that the records failed to match up to some of the testimonies and that there are gaps in the record keeping. 

Jayalalithaa spent 75 days at the hospital following her admission on September 22, 2016, after taking ill at her residence in Poes Garden. She passed away on December 5, 2016. As the Arumughaswamy Commission attempts to reconcile the various discrepancies, the Commission is set to submit its final report on October 24 this year. Over 50 individuals have deposed before the oneman Commission so far.
