Super specialty hosp demanded at Paradip

Residents of Kujang and Paradip areas have demanded establishment of a super specialty hospital at Bhutamundei near Paradip.

Reports said pressing for the demands, several civil society bodies, senior citizens, professionals from different fields, trade unionists and local PR representatives converged at Srimaa Vidyapitha in Paradipgada on Sunday and discussed the subject.

The meeting was presided over by senior citizen Prahllad Chandra Tarai and attended by scribe Raghunath Sahoo, social activist Sriballabh Kar, trade union leader Prakash Tripathy, Sarpanch Jyotrimaee Swain and many others. The attending local leaders stressed that in spite of Paradip accorded as major industrial hub of the country, the surrounding residents lack inadequate medical facilities.  The residents have been ailing due to discharge of poisonous gas and waste water by several industrial houses in Paradip.“So, we demand a SCH to establish at Bhutamundai under PPP mode and the State Government should instruct these industrial houses subscribing their CSR funds for the purpose,” they claimed.
