Suheldeo Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) chief and minister Om Prakash Rajbahr, who has been in news lately for sulking against BJP led government, once again questioned the veracity of encounters with criminals by the police.

Terming encounters by the police as `fake’, Rajbhar demanded thorough probes into all encounters. He said that the police have launched a drive for encounters only for the sake of out-of-turn promotions of police officers and instant media attention. Talking to reporters in Lucknow on Monday, the minister said that had he belonged to an upper caste, then all officers would have trailed him and did his work. Terming himself as ‘a joker of the government’, he said that he was playing the role of ‘Gabbar’.  “ The coming Lok Sabha elections would be important for backwards and most backwards castes along with Dalits as they will decide as who will occupy the throne in Delhi in 2019,” Rajbhar said.

“Most of the political parties have ignored these communities in post independentIndia,” the minister opined. Rajbhar also hit out at BJP MLA Surendra Singh of Ballia, who said that God was behind the killing of gangster Munna Bajrangi inside Baghpat jail recently.  “The BJP MLA should now worship criminal Sunil Rathi who eliminated Bajrangi,” he quipped.
