New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said the government was ready for discussion on all issues and hoped that the Monsoon session would be productive.
Addressing reporters here, the PM said, ‘Any member, any party can raise any issue, we are all ready for proper discussions.’’
Hoping for a productive Monsoon session, the PM said, ‘Many important decisions in nation’s interest will be taken up in the Monsoon session of Parliament. I hope that all the political parties will use the time of the House to carry forward important works of the country.
I always express this hope and make that effort. I am hoping this time too. We hope for good suggestions and discussions from all experienced members.’
The monsoon session commenced on Wednesday and will end on August 10.Government has sought cooperation of the opposition in smooth functioning of the session. A series of meetings were held on Tuesday in order to maintain calm and tranquility so that the smooth conduct of the businesses are ensured in both the Houses.
