Ama Gaon: CM grants Rs 3.5cr for Tarbha

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday launched the Ama Gaon, Ama Bikash scheme and approved nearly 150 different developmental works costing Rs 3.5 crore.

On the occasion, the CM said the allocated funds are for the people of Tarbha Block and sought cooperation from the public to implement different welfare projects in an effective manner. He asked the officials to step up efforts for working out strategies for the same and ensure quality work and timely completion of the projects.

Speaking to the mediapersons, Sonepur MLA cum UD Minister Niranjan Pujari said the programme aimed at strengthening the village panchayats and hence, is a fitting tribute to legendary leader and former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik, who played a pivotal role in development of the three-tier PRI system in Odisha.

Among others, Sonepur Collector D Sathpathi, PD DRDA S Das, SP PK Patra, BDO P Pande, Zilla Parisad S Kampa, P Nag and senior officials were present.

More than 10,000 villagers and the representatives also thanked the CM for approval of the projects.
