BJP stalling projects of Delhi government: Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia  

NEW DELHI: Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia lashed out Wednesday stating that BJP through back door is not letting them work. Sisodia further said that centre should not take the Delhi government lightly.

The deputy CM further said that many rules were twisted to suit the need of making the BJP headquarters which can be the cause of water logging under Minto Bridge.

"It is very clear that they (officers) have instructions from the Centre and Prime Minister Office to stall the projects of public welfare in Delhi. By doing this through the IAS officials, the Centre is not only killing the democratic and federal structure of the country but is also defying and disregarding the orders of the apex court. The officers are refusing to comply with the directions of the Cabinet. Several important decision, which are much required for the people of Delhi & governance are being defied" said Sisodia.

The Supreme Court in its order on July 04 said that the Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal has powers just on three reserved subjects - Police, Land & Public Order and powers on all the other subjects lie with the elected government of Delhi. But the tussle broke out between the Aam Aadmi Party government and Baijal within two days on the issue of executive powers regarding posting of officers.

"The BJP through officers is conspiring to stall the work we are trying to do. I warn them that they should not take the government lightly they should not take the people of Delhi so lightly. All this stalling of our cabinet decisions cannot happen without the interference from the central government" added Sisodia.

Meanwhile, looking at the increase in rural population in 360 villages in Delhi the revenue department has decided to increase the periphery of Lal Dora to accommodate the growing demand among the rural belt. The department has to submit a report on the plan within two weeks, said Minister of Revenue Kailash Gahlot.
