Flipkart Sale: Google Home, Home Mini smart speakers get cheaper

If you were planning to buy the new Google Home or Home Mini smart speaker then this could be the best time to do so. Flipkart as part of its ongoing ‘Big Shopping Days’ has announced attractive deals on both the Google Home and Home mini speakers. The Google Home is available at Rs 7,999 while the smaller Google Home Mini costs Rs 2,999 after discount. Recently, rival Amazon had also offered its Echo and Echo Dot smart speakers at the lowest price ever during the Prime Day sale.

Last month, Flipkart had announced a discount for these speakers, however, the current discount prices are the lowest ever. For those unaware, the Google Home and Home Mini was launched for Rs 9,999 and Rs 4,499 respectively in April. To make the deal more lucrative, buyers are entitled to get an additional discount of 10% if they pay using SBI credit card or 5% discount for Axiz Buzz credit card.

Google Home and Home Mini are powered by the company's smart assistant, Google Assistant. The Google Assistant is rival to Apple’s Siri, Microsoft’s Cortana and Amazon’s Alexa. Google Home can perform a range of tasks like reading out food recipes, read emails, give traffic details and much more. It can also play music for you as well as control your smart home devices like Philips Hue and more.

On the other hand, the Amazon Echo speaker is now available for Rs 7,999 instead of the original price of Rs 9,999. The most affordable Amazon smart speaker — Echo Dot — has received a price cut on its actual price of Rs 4,499 and is now priced at Rs 2,999. There is no price cut on the Amazon Echo Spot and Echo Plus speakers and continue to cost Rs 12,999 and Rs 14,999 respectively.
