Probe irregularities in Ashok Nagar Cooperative society: CM

Chief Minister Raghubar Das has directed Housing, Cooperative and District Administration of Ranchi to look into the irregularities taken place in the Ashok Nagar Cooperative society.

Agriculture Animal Husbandry and Cooperative Secretary Puja Singhal informed that in the review meeting done for Urban Development and Housing Department, the Chief Minister ordered for investigating the matter.

Singhal further said that The CM acting on various complaints coming from different quarters directed for the probe. The housing board had given the land to Ashok Nagar Cooperative Ssocieties as a residential society but many people have given their premises on rent or lease to various commercial institutions and bodies and organizations and private companies.

“As the purpose of the society has been sabotaged the Chief Minister has directed that the Cooperative department should make a list of plot wise allottees and what is being run in that premises right now as in any commercial or institutional or residential. It should also find out what preventive corrective action has been taken by the office bearers of the Ashok Nagar cooperative society because as per the societies act and as per the bye laws of the Ashok Nagar Society as also as per the conditions given by the housing board it seems that the norms are being clearly flouted and yet the serving office bearers of the society have not done anything to stop it,” said a communiqué.

The Secretary added that in this regard a report has been sought from Registrar of Cooperative societies and Ranchi DC, at earliest.
