26-year-old youth arrested for molesting 10-year-old girl

A 26-year-old youth was arrested by Baghsewania police for molesting a 10-year-old girl at Semra village late in the night on Saturday.

Police said that the accused Trilok Singh Rajput tried to abduct while she was asleep along with her parents and when the accused tried to take her she woke up and raised alarm and saved herself while the accused escaped the spot and was later nabbed.

Parents of the victim rushed to her rescue and later lodged a complaint with the police. After the complaint, a police team rushed to the spot and started search for the accused and nabbed the accused.

The accused who is an auto rickshaw driver is acquainted with the family and used to visit the house frequently. The father of the girl is differently able and mother works as a domestic help. The victim is a class 2 student. 

During the investigation police found that the area where the victim lives has few houses and her house was under construction which do not have gate at the main entrance. Police said that the alert victim braved to save herself otherwise she would have become suffered atrocity by the accused.

Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police registered a case against the accused under sections 458, 363, 511 and 354 of IPC and sections of POCSO Act and nabbed the accused. In the investigation police have not found any crime record of the accused and have started to search for details of the accused
