HMD Global is not only expected to launch its Nokia X5 (5.1 Plus) soon but may bring it's powerful version to global markets as well. Tipped as Nokia 6.1 Plus, the smartphone has shown up on a benchmarking website letting some of the key specifications out of the box and also confirming it's arrival in markets other than China. Although there's no official word on the existence of the device globally, its China variant, Nokia X6 was made official few weeks ago.

We saw the rumoured Nokia 6.1 Plus (or X6) hitting the Bluetooth SIG certification recently in two variants. Now the handset has made its way to GeekBench. The listing clearly mentions the name ‘Nokia 6.1 Plus’ and indicates the smartphone to come powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor. Other specifications mentioned are 4GB RAM and Android 8.1 Oreo.

It is expected that since Nokia 6.1 Plus is said to be the global variant of Nokia X6, it could sport the same specifications. Last month, the support page of the particular device went live on the company website other than China, indicating a global launch soon.
