3 killed, 6 hurt in lightening strike

Three persons including a woman were killed and six others seriously injured when lightening struck them at Tilda region of Raipur district on Sunday afternoon.

All the victims are from a single family and were working on an agricultural field when lightening struck them.

According to the police, the persons killed in lightening strike include -- Shiv Shankar Nishad, Kaushal Nishad and Laxmi Nishad. Six others were seriously injured in the incident and condition of four among them is reported to be critical.

After being taken to local Health Centre of Tilda, they were referred to Medical College Hospital, Raipur, for advanced treatment while the bodies of the victims of the incident had been sent for post mortem, police said.
