Homicide squad investigates death of a man near Collie overnight

Homicide squad detectives are investigating the death of a man in Muja, near Collie overnight.

A woman in her 50s is currently assisting detectives with their inquiries. No charges have been laid.

Muja is a small town in WA's South West, about 225km south of Perth and about 25km east of Collie.

The age of the victim has not yet been released and it is unclear at this stage what time police were initially called to the incident.

Police say they have "no concerns for public safety" over the incident.
