Amazon Prime Day sale: 4 things to keep in mind before you shop

Amazon has started its annual Prime Day sale today. This sale offers discounts and deals on various products listed on Amazon India website. However, these discounts are limited for Prime members only. For those unaware, in order to become a Prime member, you will have to pay either an annual fee of Rs 999 and Rs 129 monthly. In order to maximize the discounts, here are a few things you should know:

Get cashback up to Rs 300 by paying through Amazon Pay
To avail this, you will have to add Rs 1,000 or more in the Amazon Pay balance. Pay for the items using this and you will be eligible to get 10% cashback up to Rs 300 max. This cashback will be credited to your Amazon Pay balance within 3 days from transaction date. Readers must note that they will get maximum cashback of up to Rs 300 across multiple transactions. This means that every transaction has to be above Rs 1,000 to be eligible for the cashback.

Use HDFC Bank debit and credit card for payments under Rs 50,000 to get an instant discount of up to Rs 1,750
If you are using your HDFC Bank debit or credit card (EMI included) to shop during the Prime Day Sale then you can get 10% cashback. If the purchase value is less than Rs 50,000 then you are eligible for 10% instant discount of up to Rs 1,750. For this cashback, the minimum purchase should be of at least of Rs 3,000.

Use HDFC Bank debit and credit card for payments above Rs 50,000 to get and save up to Rs 10,000
For purchases above Rs 50,000, you can save 10% of order value, up to a maximum savings of Rs 10,000. While they will get instant discount of Rs 1,750, the remaining Rs 8,250 will be in the form of cashback.

Amazon Coupons
There are several coupons you can use when shopping during the Amazon Prime Day sale. You can use coupons by ‘collecting’ them first by clicking on the ‘Collect Coupon’ button. After you have collected the coupon, when you checkout, the discount will be automatically applied during checkout. The collected coupon will be saved to your account and will be automatically applied when you purchase the item from the same seller from whom the coupon was collected.
