Lucknow: Woman staff accuses CBI official of harassment

LUCKNOW: A woman clerk employed at the Hazratganj office of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has accused a circle officer (CO) of sexual harassment on Monday.
Giving details, SP (North Circle) Anurag Vats, said: “She had lodged a complaint on Monday alleging that the accused Raj Pal Singh, a DySP, used to sexually harass her and misbehaved with her during work at the office. She also alleged that Singh caught her by her hand and his intentions were not decent," he said.

Vats said a case under intent to outrage modesty of woman and cause hurt was registered against the accused on Monday at the Chinhat police station in Lucknow and the police had started the investigation.

“We will soon assign an officer to probe the case,” he said.
