Puppalaguda explosions: Building did not have approval

Two days after a series of explosions at a construction site rocked Puppalaguda near Narsingi on Friday, those responsible are yet to be traced.

HYDERABAD: Two days after a series of explosions at a construction site rocked Puppalaguda near Narsingi on Friday, those responsible are yet to be traced. TNIE had reported that the firm had no approval from TSIIC for construction though activity was on at the site for a year now.  TSIIC officials have clarified that they were unaware of the construction activity, as the land belonged to HMDA. It is learnt that the land was recently allotted to the company.

“The builder had applied for permissions for construction through TS i-pass a month ago, but as the application was incomplete, it was rejected,” said TSIIC Cyberabad Zonal Commissioner C Vinod Kumar. Officials said after an inquiry into the project, options to impose a ban on the builder. The architect, engineers and supervisors also will have to face action.
