After raiding and unearthing Rs 1350 crore worth tax evasion by noon meal supplier to Tamil Nadu ggoverment last week, the Income-tax sleuth on Monday knocked the doors of another TN contractor,  this time dealing  highway works. 

The offices and premises belongings to SPK contractors are  being raided  by the taxmen at over 25 places in Virudhunagar and Chennai, sources said adding that huge amount of unaccounted cash is being seized during the raids.

Initial reports indicates that at least  Rs 80 crore was seized during the raids so far. The investigators had also sezied lot of documents showing unaccounted transactions and purchase of properties. 

IT officials hinted that the proprietors of the the firm has direct link with a senior politician in the state.
