2 arrested for robbing truck driver, cleaner

Jehangirabad police have nabbed two miscreants from Bagh Farhat-Afza trisection on Saturday who have robbed a mobile phone and Rs 1800 from a truck driver and cleaner near Kartar petrol pump late in the night on Friday. The nabbed miscreants were identified as Javed Khan and Assu alias Shahruh while two miscreants are still at large who were involved in the robbey.  Police said that when the two were questioned they confessed to have committed the robbery and along with this robbery they confessed 3 robberies in Jehangirabad area and 1 in Misrod area. The prompt action by the police personnel would be felicitated by DIG Bhopal Dharmendra Chouhdary as he announced cash reward of Rs 2500 each to the on duty constables who nabbed the two miscreants. SP Bhopal (South) Rahul Kumar Lodha has announced a reward of Rs 10000 on providing the information of the two accused identified as Anas and Zafar.

Notably, on Friday the victim Kamal Singh and Mahesh were on their way to deliver goods in truck at Govindpura Industrial Area from Karond and when the truck reached near Laxmi Mandi they were robbed of mobile phone and cash and Kamal who opposed the miscreants was attacked with sharp edged weapon.

Four bike-borne miscreants on two motorbikes robbed the victims at 3 am on Saturday. The accused robbed mobile phone and wallet of Mahesh which was carrying Rs 1800, driving license, Aadhar Card and an ATM card. The police have registered a case under section 394 of the IPC and started further investigation.
